Stephanie Mitchell oversees brand partnerships and strategy for Sofar NYC, Sofar Sounds’ largest US market. A graduate of California State University Northridge, she earned her BA in Music Industry Studies before working for major record labels Universal Music Group, Capitol Records, Virgin Records and streaming platform, Pandora. Stephanie relocated from California to New York, joining Sofar Sounds in 2016. Her team curates 90 shows a month for a dedicated fanbase of musicians and music lovers. Recent projects include selling and executing commercial partnership campaigns with sweetgreen, Coffee Meets Bagel, Kiehl’s, Dos Toros, Visit Fort Worth, and most recently LG. She currently lives in Brooklyn with her husband, and her favorite Sofar memory is when she and her team put on 25 shows in one night for ‘Give a Home’ – a collaboration with Amnesty International that welcomed people of all backgrounds to raise money and awareness for refugee rights.
