Ed Millett

Co-CEO, TaP Music

Ed Millett is one of the Co-CEO’s of TaP Music, along with long time business partner and former music lawyer Ben Mawson.

After Ed completed his degree at LIPA, he interned in NYC for management company MCT representing Moby during the Play era. Following stints in publishing and music supervision, he signed Guillemots as his first management client. Under his watch, the group went on to chart success, BRIT Award and Mercury nominations and released three critically acclaimed albums. He also managed Ray Davies of the Kinks through the release of his solo album, 2007’s Working Man’s Cafe.

In 2010, he began co-managing Lana Del Rey with Ben and they began developing her, putting out her first release Video Games/Blue Jeans on a small label before signing her to Polydor and Interscope where her album Born To Die was released. The album continues to break records worldwide having not left the charts in a decade. Lana has gone onto become a music icon, about to release her seventh studio album and has achieved countless gold and platinum certifications worldwide, received GRAMMY® and Golden Globe® Award nominations, headlined festivals, published a NYT best-selling poetry book and garnered the prestigious Ivor Novello for “Best Contemporary Song.”

2014 saw the company sign Dua Lipa, and they propelled her rapid rise into a GRAMMY® Award-winning multiplatinum superstar with billions of streams. 2017 saw them sign unknown Irish busker Dermot Kennedy and break him globally with over 1 million albums sold and gaining a Brit nomination for Best International Male. They have also added new star clients Ellie Goulding, Hailee Steinfeld and most recently Noah Cyrus, Caroline Polachek and Little Mix’s Leigh Anne Pinnock to the roster, guiding Ellie through her recently critically acclaimed fourth album Brightest Blue and imminent debut book launch.

TaP Music has now grown to encompass not just management but publishing, records and sports, and prides itself in providing a full 360 global service to clients with offices in LA, London and Australia, with over 40 employees globally. TaP always looks to innovate its approach to artist management, focusing on achieving the most commercially successful careers whilst retaining their artist's integrity.

Based in the US, Ed resides in Santa Monica with his family.
