Brandy was born in small town Ohio on the day that MTV launched – which if you know her, is no strange coincidence. She has resided in Chicago (Chicags) for the past 16 years and has surrounded herself with various aspects of the music industry: having worked at music venues, record labels, booking agencies, music festivals and most recently music supervising advertisements for the past nine years and running. Clients have included Facebook, Apple Music, Hershey's, Chase, Reese's, Pinterest, Jack Daniels, etc). She is a consummate music fan, knowing as much about east/west coast rap rivalries as she does about Barry Manilow.

After producing music for ads at mcgarrybowen for the past nine years, Brandy has taken on a freelancing role in 2021, providing music supervision for a multitude of other reputable advertising agencies including Droga 5, BBDO and DDB.
