Zohaib Ahmed
CEO, Resemble AI
After identifying an opportunity to create entire movies, TV shows and video games with AI-generated voices, Zohaib created Resemble AI with his former roommate and fellow gamer Saqib Muhammad. They built Resemble AI’s generative voice technology rooted in consent and transparency to allow for more creative freedom and new forms of expression. Resemble AI’s technology is now used by brands like Netflix and Honda to create content that was previously impossible. Whether it's transferring a voice into dozens of other languages, creating thousands of dynamic personalized messages from celebrities, or creating unique real-time conversational agents, Resemble AI is changing how content is created. In fact, Zohaib and his team at Resemble AI used 3 minutes and 12 seconds of Andy Warhol’s voice recordings, including interviews from the 1970s and '80s, and worked with director Andrew Rossi to meticulously produce narration for the Emmy nominated six-part Netflix docu-series “The Andy Warhol Diaries.” Previously, Zohaib led engineering teams at Magic Leap, Deepen AI, Hipmunk (acquired by SAP Concur) and BlackBerry. At Hipmunk, he was the lead engineer of the first AI Assistant for Travel, built using modern patented NLP techniques. Zohaib graduated from University of Toronto with a degree in computer science.
