Legislative Director, Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar (FL-27)
Sam Kuebler is Legislative Director for Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar (FL-27). In this role, Sam overseas the legislative team and advises the Congresswoman on all domestic issues. During the 118th Congress, he has led the introduction and rollout of H.R. 9551, the NO FAKES Act. This legislation provides the first ever federal intellectual property right to an individual’s voice and likeness, while providing individuals to take civil action against bad actors knowingly create, post, or profit from unauthorized digital replicas of them.
Sam has been on Capitol Hill for over 6 years and has worked for 4 different Republican members of Congress. While working for these members, he covered the member’s work on House Appropriations, Energy and Commerce, Ways and Means, and Small Business Committees.
Beyond his work in government and public policy, Sam is passionate for entrepreneurship and business. During his undergraduate years, Sam created “Sam’s Shine” providing a car wash service to golfers at a local country club. He has also worked with app developers on a start-up initiative during his MBA program.
Sam grew up in South Florida and received his undergraduate degree from Florida State University and his MBA from Southern Methodist University.
