Director, Creative, BMI

Katie Kilgallen is Director of Creative at BMI. In this role, she is responsible for coordinating multiple BMI events and special projects such as the monthly BMI Acoustic Lounge showcases, various songwriting camps, Speed Dating for Songwriters™, the BMI stages at Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, SXSW and more. Since joining in the spring of 2018, Kilgallen has been an integral part in the education and support of the New York creative community through her leadership with the monthly BMI 101 Workshops and overall assistance to general affiliates inquiries and conflicts.

Prior to BMI, Kilgallen worked at iHeartMedia on the National Programming team, wherein she gained experience in artist relations, global music marketing and live event production as a result of her assistance with the 2017 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour and other tent pole events. Before iHeartMedia, she served as an Intern in the Corporate Communications & Marketing Department at BMI where she assisted in developing editorial and social media content.

Kilgallen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Marist College and is a member of the following organizations: She Is The Music, NYC3, the AIMP (Association of Independent Music Publishers), the Recording Academy and Songwriters Hall of Fame.
