Artist Manager & Owner, Death Or Glory, LLC

For the last 20 years, David Gottlieb has owned and operated Death Or Glory, LLC an artist management company based in New York. Currently, Death Or Glory represents MGMT, The Hold Steady, Craig Finn, Bob Mould, The Luther Vandross Estate and Overcoats.

Prior to entering management, David Gottlieb worked in marketing at major record labels for 15 years, ascending to SVP of Marketing at 550 Music/Epic Records and later at RCA Records. During his time at record labels, David worked directly with Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, The Strokes, Alice Cooper, Fuel, Ben Folds Five, Screaming Trees, Social Distortion, The The, Living Colour, Christina Aguilera, and many more, along with the Ally McBeal and Singles soundtracks.

While starting in music during college, first as a stagehand at Lawlor Events Center at the University of Nevada, in Reno, and then as Music Director of KFJC in California’s Bay Area, David also worked on the retail and media sides of music before joining Epic/Sony in 1989.
