Inspired by wide-ranging, powerful and soulful female vocalists like Florence + The Machine, Rachel Price, Amy Winehouse, Laura Marling and Lianne La Havas, singer-songwriter Ariah Noetzel aims to make people’s spirits soar in her writing through broad-based, haunting melodies and themes that are often politically/socially inspired. A New York native, Ariah Studied Media at NYU while regularly playing venues across New York City. Band members Tynan Hooker-Haring, Colin Hooker-Haring, Olivia Austin, Harley Putzer and Steve Bauder are all incredibly talented musicians who add a great depth and energy to the songs. The “&” of “Ariah &” changes from gig to gig, and in the past they’ve performed as “Ariah & the Mediocre Mops” and “Ariah & the Time Orgy” as well as other silly titles.
