Alphaeus Koroma goes by the stage name Mr. J was born on June 15th at Mano Dasse, Moyamba District, Sierra Leone. He attended the Lucins Preparatory School, where he sat to his National Primary School Examination (NPSE) and later went to The Sierra Leone Grammar School, where he acquired his Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and pursue his schooling at the S.O.S Herman Gmeiner International School where he successful completed his secondary education. He later went to the Milton Margai College of Education and Technology and studied electrical engineering. Furthermore, he is presently a student of the Fourah Bay College USL studying a BSC in Economics. Mr. J started music at the age of ten, when he started writing songs for himself and performing for his friend at school. He wrote couple of songs when he was at school but was less opportune to record them. Meanwhile, he released his first single by 2017 which he titled ‘BLACK MAN BAD’. Few months later, he releases another banger which was titled ‘ISHA’ an inspirational love song both of which was produced by DON CREEK. Ever since he has been releasing couple of songs and working with different producers like ADKISY etc. and he is on the preparedness to release his first album under the record label GENIUS MUSIC which he just got signed into.
