“New York City – The Opportunities & Challenges,” in partnership with The New York City Mayor’s Office of Media & Entertainment (MOME), is an important program that will address navigating New York’s music ecosystem, providing resources and recommendations for approaching NYC’s vast yet overwhelming infrastructure. Mondo’s content collaboration with MOME, scheduled for Wednesday, October 4 includes intensive seminars and more intimate network sessions.

RIAA Programming Partnership: The RIAA will present its mid-year industry revenue numbers during a special presentation titled “Streaming Revenue & Policy in One Hour,” featuring Cary Sherman, RIAA CEO and Joshua Friedlander, RIAA SVP Strategic Data Analysis along with key industry representatives to discuss the major issues facing different components of the music industry right now.
Friday, October 6
The Music & Technology Law Symposium, a Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Program (MCLE), in partnership with the RIAA, Michelman & Robinson LLP, and Cowan, DeBaets, Abrahams & Sheppard LLP, is a full-days’ worth of panel content specifically geared towards content producers, right’s owners and providers. NYU Partnership: Mondo will host a presentation by Larry Miller, Clinical Music Associate Professor and Director, Music Business Program, NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development, immediately followed by a panel discussion.
The Mondo Sessions @ NYU: a groundbreaking multimedia music discovery and marketing partnership with NYU Steinhardt. NYU music business students and faculty team up with Mondo for a semester-long program integrated with the Village Records course to identify, support, and help advance the careers of two emerging artists chosen from among Mondo performing acts. The Mondo Sessions will be highlighted with a panel and live music showcase from the selected artists as well as a recording session at NYU.
